Income

If you are a salaried employee, you can usually obtain an Income Statement from MyGov. If you do not have access to MyGov or do not have such information, please obtain a payroll statement from your employer.

For interest income and other income, you can upload the information on the online tax return page.

Deductions

When completing your tax return, you’re able to claim deductions for eligible expenses. Most eligible expenses are costs you incur in the course of earning your employment income. Typical examples are work-related books, stationery, and tools. However, expenses such as, suits and commuting expenses are not allowed.

Some expenses may be allowable depending on the type of occupation. Please consult with us if you are not certain. If the total amount of expenses is $300 or more, you must keep all receipts. You are not required to submit the receipts at the time of filing your tax return, but we recommend that you keep them as you will be obligated to submit them if requested to do so by the Australian Taxation Office at a later date.

Others

For clients who do not have Australian permanent resident status or citizenship, we may request a certified copy of your passport and visa documents for Medicare levy exemption purposes. In this case, we will inform you.

Please refer to the fee schedule.
